Summer Plans.

With summer approaching, I started to think about what I want to do. I was happy with my summer last year, but I want to spend more time this summer doing activities with my family, friends, and making the most of everyday. Last summer I was a nanny for two children who were going into forth and sixth grade. Though, I enjoyed spending my summer with them, I want to get a real job this summer. I am planning on applying at a restaurant as a hostess and at a local gym as a front desk worker. My ideal summer would be working part time, but as a college student who is paying for herself, that is out of the question. Just like any other teenager, I want to make as much money as possible this summer so I can save up, buy concert tickets, and spend money on things I ant personally. Being able to work two jobs wouldn't be ideal, but I think that it would be interesting and could work. I prefer to live a fast place life, going from place to place, so I do not think that working two jobs would be too much for me. In addition to working, I want to spend more time with my family doing different activities. My mom's side of the same is really big into biking and rock climbing. This summer I hope that we can bike through different parts of Minnesota together and get closer as a family. Last summer we rode around the Twin Cities and stopped at different restaurants when we were done and I hope we can continue to do that but more often. Beside spending more time with my moms side of the family, I want to start having weekly dinners with my dad and throwing the softball around while were waiting. For 9 years, I played traveling, competitive softball and my dad was always there to support me. I knew that when I didn't go back out for softball after my concussion,my dad was disappointed and sad. He loved watching me play and I hope that we can start throwing the ball together again. In addition to working two jobs and spending time with my family, I want to explore Minnesota with my friends and discover the unknown. I recently discovered the North Shore Scenic Railroad track in Duluth and would LOVE to see it first hand rather than through a computer screen. I have only been to Duluth once, and it was to see the fish museum with my dad two summers ago. Though it is a cold city, it is absolutely gorgeous. It is unlike most cities in Minnesota. My love for the cities continues to grow every year and after college I hope to live in an apartment in Minneapolis. This summer I want to spend my free time exploring Minneapolis and St. Paul with my closest friends. The stone arch bridge is one of my favorite places to go on a summer night. Walking to the center of the bridge and looking out at the city from every angle is absolutely breath taking. The waves from the river crashing into the rocks, the sun setting over the tall buildings, seeing children running through empty grass with their parents close by. It's like a scene from a movie. I have high exceptions for this summer, but I know it will be worth it. Summer 2017 cannot come sooner.
