Today has been full of activities. At 10 am, my mom, sister, and I got our nails done which was one our Christmas presents from our mom. We don't get our nails done very often, for we don't enjoy spending $25 for a manicure, but it is always fun to just sit and talk for an hour without any distractions. Following our nail appointment, Ana and I met my cousin Shae for lunch at Panera before heading to Minneapolis to meet my friends for ice skating at The Depot. With more clothes than we needed, we made our way through traffic to The Depot. I should have known that we were going to be early, since my friends are not the best with time management skills, but that gave Ana and I some extra time to change and practice our skating. The Depot is an indoor rink in Minneapolis that is open to the public during the winter season and has music and concessions available. Since I had never been to The Depot, Ana and I were in amazement of how nice it was on the interior and how warm it was. Before Christina, Hannah, and Maggie came we had already taken off our coats and put them in the locker. They finally showed up and we began skating as a group. A warm smile came across my face when we were skating and the reasoning behind it was how happy I was to be in my favorite city with my favorite people who mean so much to me. Ana and I skated for another two hours before heading home to beat the traffic. With my best friends being so close, I have high hopes that this summer will be filled with adventures, laughter, and many many memories.
