With the lack of creativity that I have, I ended up being two of the most basic things for Halloween.. A flapper and Pocahontas. Oh well, there's always next year. If you do not know, Halloween is a holiday favorite for many girls. One weekend of the year, they are able to wear as little clothing as they want and other girls, by code, are unable to make negative claims against the girl. Though my costumes were basic, I was very happy with how well they turned out, since they were both very last minute. Friday was like any other weekend in Eau Claire, expect everyone was in costumes instead of their normal clothes. Christina, Hannah, Maggie, and I spent most of Friday at Augie's house and than made our way to Georgie's house later in the night. Christina and I eventually fell asleep at Georgie's on the couch together. Morning came and we were very confused on why were not in our dorm. I am sure we woke the entire house up with how loudly we were laughing at 8 am, but we didn't really care. We finally came to conclusion that we were so tired by the time we wanted to leave that we decided that the couch would be fine for the night. With cramps in our legs and neck, we called up the only people we knew with cars until we finally got a ride back to campus. Since Christina and I make every moment as memorable as we can, we implausibly decided that we should go to the caf at 8:30 am in our costumes from the night before. You'd be surprised on how many people are awake and hungry that early on a Saturday morning. We walked around the caf as if nothing was wrong. It was not uncommon for us to look around and have someone or a group of people looking at us as if we were nuts. Little do they know we always act this way around each other. After eating breakfast, Christina and I headed back to our dorms and crashed until mid afternoon. Around 8 pm, Shayla, my best friend, got to campus and started getting ready for the night. It is not often that she has a free weekend where she can come up and visit me, so I was very excited to spend the night with her. Thankfully she was able to help me with my makeup and hair for my flapper outfit. We finally both finished getting ready and headed to the party on 5th street that had a DJ. We bounced from party to party before coming back to the dorms, ordering a pizza, and going to bed. Unfortunately, Shayla had a lot of homework and ended up leaving early in the morning. Hopefully next Halloween I can be a little more creative and take more pictures.
