It's been three days since everyone else moved into the dorms and I feel like I'm at a summer camp. It's crazy how I have been looking forward to moving to college since the high school and now I am finally here. There is SO many people here. I feel like an idiot because I keep asking what people's names are, but I know that everyone is going through that same feeling right now. I have meet a few friends already! Hannah and Miranda are on the opposite wing as Emily and I, but we have been hanging out together since move in day. It's nice having a few people to be able to do things with right because everyone is basically a stranger to me. Emily's boyfriend asked if her, I, and a few of our friends wanted to go cliff jumping with him and his friends. Emily's boyfriend, Carter who is a Sophomore at Eau Claire this year, is an extremely nice guy and very thoughtful for inviting a bunch of freshmen he barely knew to go cliff jumping with him. The cliff are only a few minutes from campus and they are absolutely gorgeous! They over look the river and the rest of Eau Claire's downtown. There is three spots you can jump off, but I mainly jumped from the same spot every time because I was still unsure about jumping into a river I've never been to or heard of. We jumped for about an hour or two before heading back, but right before we were about to leave the craziest thing happened to me. I jumped off at the spot I had been all afternoon and began swimming to the spot where you get up and I suddenly was hit in the head by a large rock. With my contacts already not focused, I had a small panic attack as I thought I was going to faint in the water. I ended up getting out of the water with the help of a few boys that were near me and had a medium size bump on the top of my head. We got back to the dorm and I passed out. The pain was almost unbearable. Emily woke me up a few hours later and told me to get ready for the night, as this would be the first time we'd be going out together this year. I didn't have time to shower and my hair was still wet from the river, so I said screw it and put some product in it and sprayed perfume and called it good, This day is definitely one I will remember for a long time.
